Raghavendra B. Adiga, M.D.

Dr. Adiga earned his medical degree at Bangalore Medical College in 1990. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He practiced Internal Medicine for six years before attending the University of Missouri, Columbia to complete his Infectious Disease fellowship. Dr. Adiga joined the group in 2004.

Dr. Adiga is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

His clinic is located at Liberty Hospital and he is on the medical staff at both Liberty Hospital, North Kansas City Hospital, and Northland Long-Term Acute Care Hospital.

Dr. Adiga lives in the Northland with his wife, Dr. Kenna Adiga, and their two children.

Paul R. Brune, M.D.

Dr. Brune joined Infectious Disease Associates in 2007. He completed medical school, Internal Medicine residency, and Infectious Disease fellowship at KU Medical Center.

Dr. Brune is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

His practice is based at Research Medical Center. He is also on staff at Select Specialty Hospital, Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital, Research Belton Hospital, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St. Luke’s East Hospital and St. Luke’s South Hospital.

Dr. Brune lives in Prairie Village with his wife and their son. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, camping and horseback riding.

Michael R. Driks, M.D.

After receiving his medical degree at University of Miami School of Medicine in 1981, he went on to complete his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, as well as an additional one-year fellowship in General Medicine. Dr. Driks then completed his Infectious Disease fellowship at Boston University Medical Center including an externship in tropical diseases in Bangkok, Thailand. He joined Infectious Disease Associates in 1987.

Dr. Driks is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Dr. Driks practices at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St. Luke’s East Hospital, St. Luke’s South Hospital, Research Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital and Research Belton Hospital.

Dr. Driks resides in Prairie Village with his wife and three children.

R. Beth Henry, M.D.

After earning her medical degree at University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1988, Dr. Henry went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship at University of Missouri, Columbia. She joined Infectious Disease Associates following completion of her fellowship in 1993.

Dr. Henry is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has participated in several clinical studies for HIV treatment. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, Society of Hospital Epidemiologists, and numerous local societies.

She is based at North Kansas City Hospital and is also on staff at Liberty Hospital and Northland Long-Term Acute Care Hospital where she serves as Medical Director of Infection Control.

Dr. Henry resides in Overland Park with her husband and daughter. She enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

David S. McKinsey, M.D.

Dr. McKinsey received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa, followed by his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Tennessee. He joined Infectious Disease Associates in 1986.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. McKinsey is a fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, president elect of the Kansas City Southwest Clinical Society, and a member of several other professional organizations. He has had a longstanding interest in clinical research, especially in the field of fungal infections.

Dr. McKinsey’s practice is based at Research Medical Center. He is also a member of the medical staffs of Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital, Select Specialty Hospital, Research Belton Hospital, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St. Luke’s East Hospital and St. Luke’s South Hospital.

Dr. McKinsey resides in Leawood with his wife, Dr. Maithe Enriquez. He enjoys traveling and fly fishing.

Joel P. McKinsey, M.D.

Dr. McKinsey received his medical degree at University of Missouri School of Medicine, Columbia in 1990. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship at Vanderbilt University. He joined Infectious Disease Associates in 2000.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Dr. McKinsey practices at Research Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital, Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital, Research Belton Hospital, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St. Luke’s East Hospital and St. Luke’s South Hospital.

Dr. McKinsey lives in Overland Park with his wife, Dr. Jennifer McKinsey, and their three children.

Mary C. O'Connor, M.D.

Dr. O’Connor received her medical degree at Medical College of Wisconsin in 1985; she also completed her Internal Medicine residency there.  She went on to complete her Infectious Diseases fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center.  She joined Infectious Disease Associates in 1990.

Dr. O’Connor is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, Society of Hospital Epidemiologist, and numerous local societies.

She is based at North Kansas City Hospital and is also on staff at Liberty Hospital and Northland Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. She has immense experience of managing a very large comprehensive HIV program as well as clinical studies for HIV treatment. She has a strong interest in infection control and is the hospital Epidemiologist at North Kansas City Hospital.  

She lives in Overland Park with her husband and two daughters. She
enjoys cooking, running and spending time with her family.

Himal Bajracharya, M.D.

After earning his medical degree at King George's Medical College, Lucknow, India in 1983, Dr. Bajracharya attended Tribhuvan University, Nepal for a residency in ophthalmology in 1990. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, New York in 1999. Dr. Bajracharya came to the University of Kansas Medical Center for his Infectious Disease fellowship in 2002.

Dr. Bajracharya, called Dr. "B" by his patients and colleagues, served on the faculty and staff at KU Medical Center for seven years. He joined Infectious Disease Associates in 2009.

Dr. Bajracharya is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

His clinics are located in Lee's Summit and Overland Park. He is on the medical staff at Lee's Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St. Luke's South Hospital, St. Luke's East - Lee's Summit, Research Medical Center, Research Belton Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital.

Dr. Bajracharya lives in Lenexa with his wife. Their two children are currently attending universities.

Bala S. Somayaji, M.D.

After medical school and anesthesiology residency at Berhampur University, India, Dr. Somayaji went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at University of Tennessee. Dr. Somayaji then completed her Infectious Disease fellowship at Kansas University Medical Center in 2009. She joined Infectious Disease Associates in 2009.

Dr. Somayaji is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Somayaji practices at Northland Long-Term Acute Care Hospital, North Kansas City Hospital and Liberty Hospital. Her clinic is at 2750 Clay Edwards Drive, North Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Somayaji lives in Overland Park with her husband and daughter.

Patricia Dandache, M.D.

After receiving her medical degree from the American University of Beirut, in Lebanon in 2002, Dr. Dandache completed her Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and an Infectious Disease fellowship at New York Medical College. She trained at Metropolitan hospital in New York City and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. Dr. Dandache is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

After three years of Infectious Disease practice in Iowa, Dr. Dandache moved to the Kansas City area to join her husband. She joined Infectious Disease Associates in 2012.

Dr. Dandache sees patients in our Lee’s Summit and Overland Park clinics. She is on staff at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center, St Luke’s East, St Luke’s South, Research Belton and Kindred hospitals.

Dr Dandache resides in Leawood with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys going to the theatre, hiking, and traveling.
